Channing Chu is a skilled pianist and passionate teacher with a remarkable musical journey, earning distinctions in the ABRSM Diploma, the DipABRSM, and the prestigious NZQA Scholarship in Music.
He led the Westlake Symphony Orchestra and Westlake Concert Band to Gold Awards at the KBB Festival in 2018 and 2019, achieved the Grand Prix at the Leonardo Da Vinci International Choral Festival in 2018 and a Gold Award at the Big Sing in 2019. In the world of piano competitions, Channing has consistently performed well. He secured the Second Prize in the Paderewski in Memoriam International Piano Competition and the Third Prize in the Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition in 2021. In 2022, he earned the First Prize in the Caneres International Piano Competition.
Channing's passion for music extends to teaching. He aims to inspire his students by uncovering the intricacies and finer details of music during lessons, making each session an enlightening experience.
